Local inventors Kevin Elphick and Ilene Watters have won a silver medal at the world's biggest invention exhibition in Geneva . This year's exhibition was the largest ever with over 1000 inventions from more than 40 nations being judged by a 55 member team of international specialists. This, the 23rd International Exhibition of Inventions had the rare privilege of being under the patronage of the Swiss Confederation.

The silver medal was won in the medical category, easily the largest category at the exhibition, by Keep Dri Dressings. This invention very simply and easily prevents casts, dressings and wounds getting wet while people wash or have a shower. Kevin said their main reasons for developing Keep Dri Dressings were to make a shower dressing protector which really worked, was quick and convenient to apply and for the patient's well being and comfort.

It is already successful statewide with about 70% of hospitals in a key market using this great innovation since recognizing savings in costs and time while reducing the possibility of infection. With such an outstanding start I am sure we will soon see Keep Dri Dressings used in most hospitals around the world.
