1. RECTANGULAR SHAPED
2. BAG SHAPED

Keep Dri Dressings shower dressing protectors really work. However, to prevent leakage it is essential they are applied correctly.

1.RECTANGULAR SHAPED
- For Torso Shower Protection

IMPORTANT:
  • The dressing protector is best applied to clean dry hairless skin.

  • The adhesive layer of the protector should be moulded to the patients body contours.

  • Do not stretch the protector over the area to be covered.

  • As water flows downward the top and sides of the Keep Dri dressings must adhere to the skin firmly.

  • The entry point for drainage tubes and catheters should be at the lower edge, preferably where the tag is formed.

  • Remove the top strip of coloured release paper and peel the side strips to approximately halfway
  • Mould the Keep Dri Dressings adhesive to the body contours with your fingers, pressing it firmly to the skin
  • Remove the rest of the release paper and TAPER the sides of the Keep Dri Dressing inward towards each other
  • Press any excess adhesive layer to itself to form a tag as shown in the diagram above
  • For ease of Keep Dri Dressing removal, pull the tag upward at an angle of approximately 45 degrees from the body
  • The tag formation also aids in covering bulky dressings and gives the patient freedom of movement

  • 2. BAG SHAPED
    - For Shower Protection of Limbs

    IMPORTANT:

  • The dressing protector is best applied to clean dry hairless skin
  • To seal the bag correctly, join the adhesive strips of the bag excess together firmly so the edges are NOT flush (at the limb, the top of one edge is adhered to the bottom of the other allowing a crosswise line to form - see the diagram). This prevents a point of water entry when wrapped around the limb
  •

  • Remove approximately a third of the coloured release paper from the corner of the bag
  • At the opposite corner of the bag pull tight this will adhere the Keep Dri Dressing to the limb
  • Now completely remove the remaining release paper
  • Surround the limb with the bag and join the excess adhesive layer together correctly - see imporatant points above - to form a tag
  • Wrap the tag formed by the join firmly around the limb
  • Find a small adhesive tape on the bag and remove the release paper
  • Tape the edge of the tag to the bag
  •

    SHOWERING WITH TUBES

  • Place the tube in the corner of the bag making sure the tube is completely surrounded by the adhesive to prevent water entry
